CONTROL PANEL DESIGN AND FABRICATION
All AdvanTech supplied control panels and enclosures are fabricated at our UL registered facility under the strict supervision of AdvanTech's project team.
Customer’s approval of submittals, bills of material, panel design, panel layout drawings and schematics is a prerequisite for the start of purchasing and panel fabrication activities.
All panels are constructed with strict adherence to the applicable UL and Nema classifications and environmental conditions.
At the conclusion of fabrication all panels undergo rigorous testing by AdvanTech’s project team. Only following satisfactory conclusion of internal testing, the fabricated panel is ready for a formal Factory Acceptance Test and for shipping.

PLC
and DCS PROGRAMMING
In our continuously evolving world
of automation, staying current and
proficient in correctly employing
PLC and DCS systems can only be accomplished
by having constant hands-on involvement
in a variety of control projects.
AdvanTech’s engineers annually
work on dozens of different projects.
Many of these projects employ different
hardware, different software and different
communications media. Our engineers
must become familiar with emerging
programming methods such as IEC-1131.
AdvanTech employs a highly proficient
group of engineers having extensive
experience programming a variety of
popular PLC and DCS systems. Regardless
of our Customer’s hardware selection (Allen-Bradley, Bristol Babcock, General Electric, Modicon, Opto 22, Omron, Siemens, Square D, Telemecanique, Emerson, Yokogawa and
many others) our engineers have the
background, training, expertise and
the tools (many developed in-house)
necessary to produce reliable, efficient,
fully commented and documented code. |

SCADA/HMI CONFIGURATION
Our engineers are skilled in configuring
and programming a variety of popular
Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition
(SCADA) and Human-Machine Interface
(HMI) systems including Genesis,
InTouch, iFix, PowerView, RSView32,
PanelView, Cimplicity, FactoryFloor,
LabView and others. The supplied
functionality may include: |
|

FACTORY AND FIELD ACCEPTANCE TESTING
All products
and services supplied by AdvanTech
undergo several levels of rigorous
testing: |
|
|
All AdvanTech
supplied components are required
to have manufacturer documented
test procedures regarding classification,
reliability, manufacturing practices
and MTBF values. |
|
All the project drawings
are reviewed by the Project
Engineers followed by the Project
Manager. |
|
All software development
undergoes several stages of
internal testing using simulated
field signals. Meetings with
Customers are scheduled on a
periodic basis to critique and
validate the implementation. |
|
All panels and enclosures
are tested by the project team
at the conclusion of fabrication. |
|
An integrated Factory Acceptance
Test (FAT) is conducted after
the receipt of all the hardware
and completion of software development
and fabrication. FAT is conducted
using written test procedures
specifically developed for the
project. |
|
Field-testing is conducted
following completion of field
installation and start-up. Field-testing
follows the same written test
procedures used during the FAT. |
|
Following successful completion
of all the field tests, AdvanTech
supplies closing documents (certifications,
“As-Built drawings, etc.),
as required. |

PROJECT MANAGEMENT
We believe that skilled project management
is critical to the success of every
project. AdvanTech’s project
managers are degreed engineers with
decades of multifaceted automation
experience. Prior to becoming project
managers they performed similar “hands
on” engineering functions, which
they now manage.
Since AdvanTech employs a seasoned
project engineering staff capable
of working on a variety of complex
assignments independently, our project
managers’ responsibilities within
the project
team include the following: |
|
|
|
Establishing
and maintaining of schedules |
|
|
Acting as sounding board
for the project team |
